AI coaching for employment support programmes

Many participants in employment support programmes are working in a second language, and keyworker time between appointments is limited. Hikmad.AI gives participants a coaching assistant on their own phone that helps with CVs, cover letters and interview practice, with explanations in Somali, Swahili or Amharic when needed, alongside your keyworkers rather than instead of them.

Between-appointment practice, not another appointment

Participants can talk through a CV, work through a cover letter or practise interview answers between sessions with their keyworker, on the phone they already carry. It runs in a mobile browser and is designed for low-bandwidth connections, so there's nothing to install.

Explanations in the languages your caseload speaks

The assistant can explain in Somali, Swahili or Amharic alongside English, then bring the participant back to practising in English. Other languages can be configured.

Alongside your keyworkers, not instead of them

The assistant gives participants somewhere to prepare between appointments. It doesn't replace the keyworker relationship or your programme's own coaching model.

Configured to your programme's own materials

We set the assistant up around your own CV templates, application processes and terminology rather than generic content. Configuration typically takes about 30 days.

Safeguarding and data protection

Safeguarding rules are configured for your programme, including the topics the assistant will and won't discuss. We support your data protection impact assessment and will answer your data protection questions before anything goes live.

How a pilot works

Hikmad.AI is designed to sit inside funded employment programmes, as a specialist tool for providers and subcontractors working with participants whose first language is Somali, Swahili or Amharic. We suggest starting with a pilot for one caseload or delivery area, with the success measures agreed together up front, so you can judge it against your own participants.
